Charlene Peacock, 87, of Wooster passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026 at Danbury of Wooster.
Lelia Charlene Stull was born on April 2, 1938, in Loudonville to Ira and Edith (Rohrbaugh) Stull and graduated from Norwayne High School in 1956. On April 8, 1960 she married Thomas D. Peacock and Tom preceded her in death on March 11, 1987. They are together again. Charlene was the office manager at Advance Bronze in Lodi and JKI in Wooster and retired from the Wooster Brush Co. after 13 years of service. She was a member of the Northern Ohio Draft Pony Assoc. and the Ohio Oil & Gas Producers. Charlene had been a 4-H advisor, Girl Scout Leader, managed the Sunday Hitch Class at the Wayne County Fair where she also entered sewing and baking projects in the Home Economics Dept. She was a member of the First Church of God in Wooster and had enjoyed attending Bible Study. Charlene had been an avid bowler and over the years enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Gene Mumaw of Wooster and Kandie Berry and Paul Adams of Ashland; grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Heather Byler, Danielle and Jamin Sprowl, Joseph Berry, Nicole and Jebidiah Beeman, Cassie and Nathan Wallpe, Logan Adams and Haley Adams; 9 great-grandchildren, Luci and Bella Byler, Paisley and Piper Sprowl, Bryson and Aniston Wallpe and Jacob, Jade and Josie Beeman; sisters-in-law, Sandy Hower and Dianne Peacock and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her parents and brothers, Ronald and Roger Stull.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Arnie Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
