Catherine M. Wellman

Catherine M. Wellman, 98, of Seville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Burbank Parke Care Center.

Catherine was born on Oct. 28, 1925 in Huntington, WV to Pearlie and Clara (Skaggs) Brumfield and Married Ralph Wellman on Aug. 14, 1948.  Ralph preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 1999.  She had worked at Ohio Match, Jaffe Shoes, Wayside Market, Red Bird and at Latex in Chippewa Lake.  Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church in Seville.

Surviving her are daughters, Yvonne Bratcher of Burbank and Judy and son-in-law Curt Wilson of Sterling; grandchildren and their spouses, Amber and Bret Wiley, April Ross, Candace and Travis Harmon and  Amanda and William Wilson; step-grandchildren, Lori Crabtree, Julie McConnell, Angela Bratcher and Adam and Elena Bratcher; great-grandchildren; Elliot and Maeve Wiley, Ava Pearl Wilson, Stella Mae Wilson  and Riley Lynn Harmon and step great-grandchildren, Jac and Ben Crabtree, Cooper and Addison McConnell, Eric and Shelton Smothers and Kayleigh, Elliana and Waylon Bratcher and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son-in-law, Larry Bratcher, brothers, George and Charles; sister, Evelyn and dear friends, Jack and Wanda Ratliff.

Services will be Monday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Tom Churma officiating.  Burial will be in Seville Mound Hill Cemetery with dinner following at First Baptist Church in Seville.  Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services on Monday.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 132, Seville, OH 44273.
