Carolynne G. "Toot" Edwards

Carolynne G. “Toot” Edwards, 83, of Burbank, died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 at The Avenue at Wooster after a period of declining health.

Carolynne was born May 18, 1935 in Chatham to the late Howard M. And Janice A. (Clapp) Lance and was a 1953 graduate of Burbank High School. She married Robert D. Flory on Nov. 15, 1953 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1967. On April 17, 1984 she married William E. Edwards and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2018. She had made her home in Burbank most of her life and had worked at various restaurants including Royal Castle and Biffs Restaurant. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Burbank, was active in the former Burbank Busy Bees and was a charter member of the Gold Wings Motorcycle Club. “Toot” enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding and traveling.

Surviving are her children, Michael Flory of Overton, Bobbi (James) Newbury of Apple Creek, Paul (Linda) Flory of Smithville and Josie (Brian) Sampsel of West Salem; her step-children, Charles (Betty) Edwards of Burbank, Carol (Curt) Dickens and Judy (John) Laboda both of Erie, PA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene “Burt” (Mary) Lance of Georgia and Joe (Carol) Lance of Jeromesville; a sister-in-law, Zola Lance of Burbank and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, step-sons, Donnie, Billy Jr., Philip and John “Jackie” Edwards and a brother, Richard Lance.

Services will be Thursday, Aug. 23rdat 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery.
