Carolyn Rae Setzer

Carolyn Rae Setzer of Creston, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 after a brief illness.

Carolyn was born Feb. 16, 1935 in Wooster to the late John W. and Evelyn (McMillen) Potts and was a 1953 graduate of Wooster High School.  She had worked in the catering business prior to retiring which she truly enjoyed and was a member of the Caloosahatchee Moose Lodge in Cape Coral, FL and the Wooster Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Carolyn had a lifetime love for showing ponies and horses and enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida.

Surviving are her husband Jeffrey Setzer who she married in 1997; daughters, Carole (Dennis) Fry of Creston, E. Kim O’Connor of Doylestown, Jennifer (Jake) Chidsey of Medina and Becky Lance of Creston; 9 grandchildren, Brian and Jessie Black, Haley and Jesse Fry, Christina Rae Oblak, James and Brandon O’Connor, Paul Chidsey; and Taylor Gibson; great-grandchildren, Benton, James, Liam, Isabella, Allen, Finny and Brynlee and her beloved dog, Sarah.
