Carolyn Sue Howell Stutzman

Carolyn Sue Howell Stutzman, 83, of Wooster, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Orrville Pointe Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Carolyn was born on Dec. 16, 1942, in Beach, Calhoon County, WV to Donzel and Lillian (Falls) Butler. She had worked as a cook as several restaurants in Wooster and retired from the Olde Jail Inn. She was a woman of faith having been a Baptist and she enjoyed Country Music, spending time outdoors and cooking. Carolyn loved spending time with her family and she always said, “the more the merrier” which included friends that were like family.

Surviving are her children, Donna Weltmer, Tammy Howell and Randy Howell; her 5 grandchildren, Flesha Tanner, Natosha Tanner, Amber Weltmer, Kevin Weltmer and Shianna Carter; 4 great-grandchildren, Trent, April and Donovan Tanner and Zayden Weltmer and her brothers and sisters, Marie, Pauline, Kenneth, Frank, Grover, Peggy, Bob, Sharon, Clarence and Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stutzman on Dec. 15, 2020, her parents; brother Jack and sisters, Genevia and Esther “Faye”.

Friends may call Tuesday, June 16th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Bailey Cemetery near Arnoldsburg in Calhoon County, WV.
