Carol Lou (Hooser) Lonier

Carol Lou Lonier, 82, of Wooster, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 at The Avenue at Wooster after an extended illness.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1940 in Doylestown to the late Victor and Launa (Lester) Hooser and graduated from Norwayne High School in 1958.  On June 20, 1959 she married the love of her life, Donald F. Lonier and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2019.  Carol enjoyed traveling and was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed decorating the homes that she and Don lived in.  She always loved being with her grandchildren and she had attended Grace Church in Wooster.

Surviving are her daughters, Debra Lynn Walker of Wooster and Diane Marie and her husband Robert Baker of Killbuck; grandchildren, Stephanie Traugh, Christopher Urbano and Sarah Palmer and great-grandchildren, Ki’Ara, Khloe, Kyrion, Keondra, Makayla, Savannah, Daniel and Alyssa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents, a grandson, Jacob Walker; a sister, Elizabeth and brothers, Bill and Ronnie.

Services will be Friday, Dec. 30th at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Daron Butler officiating.  Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
