Carol Ann (Haas) Patterson

Carol Ann Patterson, 89, of Wooster and formerly of Sterling passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare after a period of declining health.

Carol was born on Sept. 14, 1935 in Coshocton County to Francis and Maxine (Huprich) Haas and was a 1953 graduate of Keene High School.  On Feb. 15, 1958 she married William A. Patterson and Bill preceded her in death on May 1, 2020.  Carol retired from Rubbermaid, Inc after 32 years of service and later worked at Clear Picture (MCTV) for 14 years.  She loved the Lord and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading and working Sudoku Puzzles and  was a wonderful cook.  She seldom missed an opportunity to attend the activities of her grandchildren and she always loved her lunches with her Rubbermaid friends.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Sue and Glenn Rumburg of Wooster, Ray and Renee Patterson of Jackson Springs, NC and Jennifer and Kurt Weaver of Wooster; grandchildren, Eric Rumburg, Matt (Kim) Patterson, Rebecca (David) Few, Chad (Dr. Jill Mohr) Mullins, Corey (Anna Rose) Mullins, Bryce (Lindsey) Weaver and Rhen (Carson) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Miriam, Isaac and Eli Patterson, Anna and Lillian Few, Ridge, Sage and Jade Weaver and James and Grace Mullins; brothers, Bob Haas of Coshocton and David (Carol) Haas of Lancaster, NH; brothers-in-law, John (Darlene) Patterson and Sam (Karen) Patterson of Coshocton and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and grandchildren, Rachel Patterson and Brian Rumburg,

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Stephen Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 426, Smithville, OH 44677 or Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
