Carol Elaine Evanish

Carol E. Evanish, 69, of Uniontown, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at Akron General Medical Center following an unexpected illness.

Carol was born April 20, 1947 in Lodi to the late Donald and Cloe (Bauman) Crabtree and was a 1965 graduate of Norwayne High School. She retired from Westfield Companies in 2003 and had made her home in Lodi, moving to Uniontown in 1989. Carol enjoyed shopping, traveling in the New England States, wintering in Florida and was an avid reader. She was a wonderful wife and mother and truly loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Thomas whom she married Oct. 29, 1966; son, Scott and Michelle Evanish and their daughters, Charli and Colie of Uniontown; daughter, Stacey and Kenneth Hartwig and their sons, Tanner, Owen and Rudy of Akron; a brother, Butch Crabtree of Creston and a sister, Pat and Dan Hess of Sterling. Her parents and sisters, Vickie and Elly died previously.
