Rittman

Carol Diane Miller, 55, of Rittman, finished her race on Saturday, March 21, 2026, and is now victorious with Jesus after a remarkable ten-year journey with cancer.

Carol was born on August 31, 1970, in Wooster to her parents, Ronald and Joann (Saurer) Christian and was a 1988 graduate of Norwayne High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center. On Sept. 30, 1989, she married Michael Ryan Miller who lovingly walked with Carol through marriage and through her illness.

Carol became a school aide for Kaden Katanic at Norwayne Schools and worked side-by-side with him for 13 years until he graduated. For the past 6 years, Carol was the secretary at Norwayne High School where she was able to love, support, and care for students, staff and the Norwayne Community. Carol had a love that surpasses all understanding because it was the Love of Christ that she knew and shared.

Carol was a member of Smithville Apostolic Christian Church and enjoyed baking, cooking, and walking every day. Carol truly loved her family, especially being Nana to her grandchildren, and she leaves a legacy of love and strength.

Surviving is her husband Mike, her children and their spouses, Amanda and Tyler Barth of Creston, Brittney and Austin Hackworth of Creston and Jeremy and Lindsey Miller of Rittman; her grandchildren, Reid and Hallie Hackworth; her parents, Ronald and Joann Christian of Rittman; sisters and brother, Pamela and Marvin Zollinger, Elaine Russell, Lisa Matie, Deborah and Doug Rupp, David and Jill Christian and Lori and Todd Pelfrey; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Norene Miller and nieces, nephews and in-laws that loved her.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 24th from 1:00-3:30 and 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the “Carol Miller Love Fund” in care of Michael Miller at 9256 Rittman Ave. Rittman, OH 44270 to support the Bobcat community and echo her spirit of selflessness and compassion.
