Carl Gene Buckingham

Carl G. Buckingham, 85, of Wadsworth, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.

Carl was born in Sterling on June 18, 1938 to Earl and Mabel (Bellomy) Buckingham and attended Sterling School and Norwayne High School.  He retired from Lambert Buick GMC in Cuyahoga Falls and had worked at  several other area auto dealerships.  Carl enjoyed cars and going to car shows, boating and trips to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and to the Kentucky Horse Park. He enjoyed Jeanne’s horses and cats and was a member of the Medina Moose Lodge and Sterling K of P Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne (Milici) Buckingham who he married March 6, 2008; his six children, Carl Dean Buckingham and Cindy Buckingham and her companion Terry Estep of Creston; Tim and Jill E. Buckingham of Sterling, Michelle (Gary) Eggeman of Marshallville and Terry and Jill A. Buckingham and Matt and Michelle Buckingham of Sterling; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry and Jean Buckingham of Wadsworth and a sister, Jayne and Roy Scheitler of Zephyrhills, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles.

Services will be Monday, July 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Glenn Griffith officiating.  Burial will be in Sterling Crown Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
