Calvin Victor Yost, 93, died Saturday Jan. 19, 2019 at his hometown of Burbank, surrounded by his family.
Calvin was born in Burbank on Feb. 23, 1925 to the late Clarence Victor and Nellie Belle (Jamison) Yost. He was a graduate of Burbank high School where he ran track for Burbank High School and placed twice at the State Finals and later served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. On Feb. 5, 1958 he married Ethel Louise Fortner and she survives. Cal retired from Rubbermaid, Inc. with 32 years of service and had made his home in Burbank all of his life. He was a member of the Aukerman Church of God and enjoyed fishing, hunting and taking trips to Canada. He loved going to Fairs and listening to music but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; children, Virgil (Helga) Robinette of Milford DE, Bonnie Snyder of Ashtabula, Steve (Addie) Robinette of Asheboro, NC, Bill Robinette of Fort Gay, WV, and Brenda (Rick Weahry) Shank of Burbank; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by children, Janice Pittman, Donna Gray, Tom Robinette and Karen Jones and brothers, Clarence, David, John, Clair Shelby and William.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23th at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Ken Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Yost Cemetery.
