Cain Alexander Wertz

Cain Alexander Wertz, 26, of Creston, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital. He will be forever loved and missed.

Cain was born in Wooster on Aug. 24, 1992 and was the son of Christopher and Glenda (Bertschy) Wertz. He graduated from Norwayne High School in 2011 and worked at Tricore Metals in Wooster. Cain loved the outdoors having enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking, white water rafting and snowboarding. He had the most contagious laugh and loved being with family and friends.

Surviving are his parents, Chris and Glenda; his sister, Sabrina and Joshua Powell of Shreve; niece, Alana Powell; grandmothers, Dottie Wertz of Wooster and Bonnie Bertschy of Creston and aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Glenn Bertschy and Roger Wertz.

Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 20that 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Lucas Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery.
