Obituary

Byron Watson "Toots" Kendall 77 of Wooster passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after a very stressful six month period.

He was born in January 29, 1939, in Holmesville to Marion and Geneva (Watson) Kendall. He married the love of his life Kathryn McClure Kendall and they were married 54 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Waynedale High School and served his country in the US Army from 1962-1964. His rank was a Specialist 4 Class. He was a truck driver for over 50 years working for Wooster Iron and Metal, Walter Jones Construction and Kenneth Currens and had retired in 2008. Toots, was a lifetime member of the Holmesville America Legion Melvin McClure Post 551, was a life time member of the Killbuck Valley Sportsman Club and was a 36 year member of AA.

Toots loved his dogs and cats and simply just loved animals. He especially loved Angel, April and Lucky who he rescued. Toot had a big heart and would do anything to help others and will be greatly missed

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, and several cousins, including Kathy and Jim Crank, and a lifelong friend Marvin Lemon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother Kendall, his Aunt Elsie and Uncle Olus Kendall for whom he was their caregiver for several years before their passing and his little white dog "Angel" and they are together again.

Private services will be held on Friday at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Julia Wertz officiating. Burial will follow in Fryburg Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal rescue or shelter of the donor’s choice in remembrance of Toot’s love for animals.
