Bruce Lyn Schlauch

Bruce Lyn Schlauch, 77, of Medina, passed away on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman after a period of declining health.

Bruce was born in Akron on May 30, 1948, to the late Elmer and Eileen (Harter) Schlauch and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1971 having served in Vietnam. Bruce had worked at Medina Signs where he was a painter as well as had been at interior painter and truck driver. He was gifted in drawing having done western drawings and had crafted western inspired mirrors.

Surviving are his sons, Kevin and his wife Monica McMullen of Westfield Center and Andy Schlauch of Lodi; grandchildren, Connor and his wife Emma McMullen, Kelly McMullen and Rhett McMullen; a brother Clifford Schlauch; sisters, Kathy and her husband Terry Leedy and Robin Baxter; sister-in-law Carol Schlauch; his former wife, Sandy Schlauch and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol and her husband Ed Pamer and a brother, Wayne Schlauch.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on his birthday, May 30th. He will be interred at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
