Bruce Edward Lab, Jr.

Bruce Edward Lab, Jr., 46, of Creston, was tragically taken from his loving family on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026.

Bruce was born in Akron on Feb. 19, 1979, and was the son of Bruce and Janet Lab. He graduated from Orrville High School in 1997, and on Sept. 10, 2016, married the love of his life, Sondra Anderson. Bruce began his career at 18 at the Orrville Power Plant and worked his way up to Superintendent. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and building projects. He spent much of his time with his daughters who were his world.

Bruce will always be loved by his wife, Sondra; his daughters, Adalyn “Addy” age 6, and Kinsley age 4; his parents, Bruce and Janet Lab; sisters, Cristy (Eric) Berg, Amy (Adam) Granger, and Jamie (Zoltan) Kovacs; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Debbie Anderson; brother-in-law, Billy Anderson; grandma, Bessie Marie Anderson; 11 nieces and nephews with a nephew preceding in death, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, 12723 Cleveland Rd., Creston, with Pastor Chris Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family through the Bruce Lab Memorial Fund at GiveSendGo.
