Brenda A. May

Brenda A. May, 56 of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at her home following an unexpected illness.

Brenda was born Aug. 12, 1960 in Wooster to the late Algie and Beatrice (Moore) Deeds she married Joseph M. May Jr. on April 9, 1982. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2013. She had made her home in Fredericksburg for most of her life and had worked at Wayne and Holmes County Department of Human Services as a day care provider. Brenda had also worked at Horizons and as a recess teacher for Fredericksburg Elementary School. She was a member of the Ohio Historical Society and was known for having open arms and her door always being open.

She is survived by her son, Joshua (Adrienne) May of Wooster, step-children; Joseph May III of Harrisburg, PA and Jodie (Joe) Woolever of Columbus; grandchildren; Damian, Domanic, Alex, Jaxen, and Jaiden and many other grandchildren; brothers, David Deeds of Wooster, Dana Deeds of Shreve and Marvin Phillips of Millersburg; sisters, Pamela Mobley of Chester, S.C. and Inla (Brian) Stonerock of Wooster; nieces and nephews Jeannette Parcos of Ashland, Roger Benchoff of Wooster, Shannon Coleman of Wooster, Jamie Deeds of Wooster, Timmy and David Coblentz of the Carolinas, Lindsey Deeds, of Wooster, Little Dana Deeds of Texas, Kalea Deeds of Arkansas, Jeremy Phipps of Ashland and Tim Phipps of Ashland

Services will be Saturday, Feb. 11th at 5:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Jeremiah Scadden officiating Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday.
