Bonnie May (Holiday) Sherry

Bonnie May Sherry, 57, of Wooster, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family and her little dog Piper on Friday, July 7, 2023 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. Bonnie was born on Aug. 27, 1965 in Orrville to Luther and Martha (Vaness) Holiday and was a 1984 graduate of Norwayne High School.  She had worked at Norton Environmental and at Speedway in Seville.  Bonnie loved spending time with her grandkids and time spent at the beach.  She loved water and enjoyed feeding the fish. Bonnie is remembered for her big loving and giving heart.  She would take anyone in, especially teenagers, who were homeless or give to anyone the shirt off of her back.  She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children, Michael (Misty) Sherry and Heidi (Tony) Sherry both of Wooster; her much loved granddaughters, Stephanie, Angel and Makayla; sisters and brothers, Rose Patrick of Wooster, Carolyn Wilmoth, Ralph (Crystal) Holiday and David Holiday all of Creston, Shirley (Timothy) Holiday-Weakley of Barberton and Luther (Erica) Holiday of Shreve; her companion, Tim Tanner of West Salem; her dog, Piper and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Russell Holiday and her former husband, David Sherry. At Bonnie’s request, there will be no calling hours.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27th from 2-4 p.m. at the Stanley R. Slater Training and Conference Center, 1273 W. Old Lincoln Way, Wooster, OH 44691.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
