Bishop Henry S. Weaver, 74, of 10069 Criswell Rd., Fredericksburg, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 at Aultman Hospital in Canton following a brief illness.
He was born March 29, 1944 in Millersburg to the late Sol and Katie (Miller) Weaver and married Esther W. Yoder on Nov. 7, 1968. She survives. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was ordained a minister in 1987 and later ordained a Bishop in 2005. He enjoyed his work at Hershberger Farm and Bakery. Henry was a compassionate and loving husband, father, grandfather and had many friends.
Surviving are his wife, Esther; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Naomi Weaver of Fredericksburg, Emery Weaver of Millersburg, Daniel and Freda Weaver of Apple Creek and Leroy and Mary Weaver of the home; 11 grandchildren, Rose Anna and special friend Ryan, Jolene and special friend Brent, Amy, Ryan, Jenna, Luke, Jamie, Alex, Caleb, Landon and Noah; 3 brothers, Albert (Sarah) Weaver and Levi (Katie) Weaver both of Fredericksburg and John (Ella) Weaver of Millersburg; sisters, Esther (Sam) Miller of Ulysses, PA, Barbara Raber, of Fredericktown, Mary (Aden) Troyer of Juniata, PA, Anna (David) Yoder of Millersburg and Clara Miller and Ada (Jacob) Weaver both of Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ivan and brothers-in-law, Eli Raber and Andy Miller.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 17that 9:00 a.m. at the Mark Weaver residence, 8545 Frease Rd., Fredericksburg with Minister Andrew M. Raber officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Twp., Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the Mark Weaver residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
