Beverly Jane Shepherd, 85, of Wooster, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Avenue of Wooster after a brief illness.
Bev was born August 24, 1932 in Canaan to the late Orlo and Edna (Brownson) Yeagley attended Creston High School. She married Howard Shepherd in 1952 and was blessed with three children. A hard worker all of her life, she worked in food service having managed several area L&K restaurants and later owned in operated Bev’s Restaurant in Creston. She retired in November of 2016 and enjoyed cooking, crocheting and collecting Longaberger Baskets.
Surviving are her children, Kathy Wohlford of Wooster, Kirk Douglas (Karen) Shepherd of Scio and Susan Theile of Chestnut Mound, TN; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Marilyn (Gene) Boatner and Eloise Bell both of Wooster, Loretta (Harry) Christian of West Salem, Marge (Tom) Huffman of Burbank, Kenneth Yeagley of Roanoke, VA, Michael Yeagley and Thomas Yeagley both of Creston and Peggy (Brad) Larsen of Bucyrus and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith; sons-in-law, Ronald Wohlford and Daniel Theile; brothers and sisters, Richard, Gary and infant Terry Yeagley, Janice Murray and her twin, infant Shirley.
Services will be Wednesday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Arnie Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of services.
