Beverly Jane Parks

Beverly Jane Parks, 64, of Norton, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023 with her family all around.

Beverly was born in Chillicothe on Nov. 1, 1958 and was the daughter of Clarence Vender and Beverly (Collmer) Lowery and was raised by her mother and step-father, Beverly and Charles Lowery.  She was married to the late Clyde Richard Ratliff, Anthony Wayne Parks and the late James Smith.  Beverly was a nurse who was always caring for others.  She volunteered at area food banks and her home was always open to anyone in need.  She loved going to thrift stores and baking and is remembered for her famous banana bread.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, DeLora (Richard Leitch) Lanning and Misty Ratliff; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and sisters and brothers, Melody Bender, Tammy D’Alessandro, Cheryl Lowery, Tim Bender and Charles Lowery and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was joined in heaven by her son, Richard Dwayne Ratliff; her late husband James Smith, her parents and a brother, Kevin Lowery.

Services will be held at a late date.
