Beulah Jean Lott

Beulah Jean Lott, 78, of Medina, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Medina Hospital.

Beulah was born on Nov. 8, 1944 in New Straitsville, OH to the late Kenneth and Wanda (Huston) Hicks and graduated from New Straitsville High School.  She attended Ohio University and later received an Associates Degree from James Rhodes Community College in Lima.  On Oct. 12, 1969 she married Donald D. Lott and they had made their home in Dublin prior to moving to Medina in 2011.  She retired from Nationwide Insurance in Columbus after 23 years of services.  Beulah was an active member of Heartland Community Church, Williams Campus where she was involved in the Young at Heart group and Heartland Stitchers.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking and was an avid reader.  Beulah raised and loved Akita Dogs for over 32 years but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and taking them on their annual Spring Break trips.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Don; daughter and son-in-law, Alyssa and Mark Williams of Medina; grandchildren, Zachary Williams and Claudia Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Gary Pyle of Pawleys Island, SC and Kendra and Rick Crawford of Logan, OH and her faithful companion, Embers.

A celebration of Beulah’s life will be held on Sunday, July 9th from 2-4 p.m. at Williams on the Lake in Medina.  Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
