Betty Louise (Troxel) Woods

Betty Louise Woods, 89, of Rittman, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 at Akron City Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1932 in Smithville to the late Ralph and Opal (Oxenrider) Troxel .  She had made her home in the Dalton area for many years and had worked at the former Nichols Store in Wooster and at Goodwill.  Betty enjoyed playing the piano.

Surviving are her daughters, Deborah (Ronald) Lewis of Orrville, Karen (the late Harold) Ross of Smithville and Marnita (Dennis) Stanford of Canton; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Packard of Suffield, OH, Marlene Dumouchelle of Wooster and Darlene Holdren of Orrville and Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ricky Woods and Michael Woods; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a sisters, Carol Bagley and and infant brother.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Ben Robinson officiating.  Burial will be in Geyers Chapel Cemetery.   Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
