Betty Lou Simo

Betty Lou Simo, 93, of Wooster, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Danbury of Wooster after a period of declining health. Betty was born in Akron on Sept. 9, 1927 to the late Clayton and Elizabeth (Butzer) Frase and was a graduate of Copley High School.  On July 17, 1948 she married Robert E. Simo and he preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2015.  Betty had made her home in Westfield Center and Creston prior to moving to Wooster and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Wadsworth and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sharon Center.  She enjoyed boating, riding on the motorcycle with Bob and traveling but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Karen R. McLeish of Wadsworth and James (Christy) Simo of Wooster; grandchildren, Jessica Simo and Patrik McLeish and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Oakley, Austin, James and Raymond Frase and sisters, Helen Crosier and Evelyn Roach. Friends may call Sunday, July 11th from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held at 4:30 p.m.  Betty will be interred with Bob at Sharon Center Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
