Betty E. Firebaugh

Betty E. Firebaugh, 92, of Holmesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Wayne County Care Center.

Betty was born June 16, 1927 in Fredericksburg to the late John and Cora (Weahry) Amos and was a 1945 graduate of Fredericksburg High School.  One April 17, 1946 she married Phillip Firebaugh and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1994.  Betty retired from the Roller Dept. at the Wooster Brush in 1989 after 22 years of service and was a member of the Holmesville Church of Christ.  She enjoyed playing bingo, doing word search puzzles, knitting and crocheting.  Betty liked taking bus trips and she always loved her cats.

Surviving are her children, Phyllis Green of Holmesville, David (Betty) Firebaugh of Berlin and John (Cathy) Firebaugh of Apple Creek; 6 grandchildren; Sheila Schmitz of Wooster, Kurt Green of Holmesville, Kevin Firebaugh of Houston, TX, Melissa Closser of London, OH, Adam Firebaugh of Albany, NY and Troy Firebaugh of Wooster and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son-in-law, Les Green, her parents, brother, Charles Amos and a sister Velma Uhl.
