Betty Jo Edwards

Betty Jo Edwards, 69, of Burbank, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster after a lengthy illness.

Betty was born Sept. 27, 1950 in Bonanza, KY and had made her home in Burbank most of her life.  She married Charles  Edwards, Sr. on Dec. 13, 1973 and he survives.  She had worked at Philway Products and the Hobnob Restaurant in Lodi and a Bliss and Laughlin.  Betty enjoyed gardening and caring for her flower beds but her greatest enjoyment was being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Chuck; her children and their spouses, Miss and Jeramie Plemmons of Lawtey, FL, Charles Jr. and Christy Edwards of Smithville, Heidi and Jeff Miner of Wadsworth and Gage Edwards of Burbank; grandchildren, Kaleigh Martin, Jerimiah Martin, Brent Tibbitts, US Navy, Brady Tibbitts, US Army Retired,  Bryce Tibbitts, US Navy, Alyssa Harper, Tyler Edwards, Justin Edwards, Thomas Edwards and Ada-Jo Edwards; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom (Tress) Stanley of Paw Paw, MI; sisters, Linda (Larry) Leavers of Wooster, Rhonda Richards and her children, Laurel and Jordan of Orrville and Tammy (Mike) Atwood and their children, Trista and Trevin and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Stanley Hibbens, a son, David Martin in 2016 and a brother, Wesley “Butch” Hibbens in 2019.

Services will be Monday, Jan. 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Burbank Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
