Barbara Ellen Kauf

Barbara Ellen Kauf, 79, of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital after a sudden illness.

Barb was born on Jan. 23, 1942 in Williamsburg, KY and was the daughter of the late Obie Lewis and Ada (Stidom) Workman.  She married Don Kauf on Oct. 13, 1980 and had worked at Apple Creek Developmental Center.  Barb enjoyed watching movies and television, playing board games and eating out.  She loved going to new and exciting places and she always loved an adventure.

Surviving is her husband, Don of 41 years; children, Chuck Allison of Millersburg, Jeannette Vance of Wooster and Barbara Graser of Wooster; step-children, Dale Kauf and Tina Stutz both of Apple Creek; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Ashley Frame who she raised since birth; sisters, Bessie Murphy, Hazel Wagar and Phyllis Felton and a brother, David Workman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ada and Melvin O. Workman,  a brother, Melvin Carl Workman and a sister, Wanda Boggess.
