Barbara Jean (Clevidence) Maxwell

Barbara Jean Maxwell, 78, of Sun City, AZ and formerly of Wooster, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, AZ after a brief illness.

Born in Medina on July 10, 1942 to the late James and Alberta (Evans) Clevidence, she married Larry D. Maxwell on June 16, 1961 and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2003.  Barb taught school at Wadsworth City Schools.  She had made her home in Arizona for the past 14 years and enjoyed Lapidary, and Silvercraft  jewelry making and porcelain dolls.

Surviving are her son, Brent Maxwell; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Brent Steiner; grandchildren, Megan (Adam) Webb, Jorie Stirland, Jonathan (Rachel) Maxwell, Abigail (Kyle) Davis, Ally (Caleb) Geary and Annissa (Dom) Szydel and three great-grandchildren, Jack Stirland, Alaina Webb and Remy Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents, James and Alberta and a brother, James Clevidence.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 16th from  4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to  Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
