Anna J. (Bendel) Wilson

Anna J. Wilson, 85, of Rittman, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the Apostolic Christian Home.

Ann was born Aug. 10, 1934 in Wadsworth Township to the late Roy J. Sr. and Alice B. (Davis) Bendel and was a 1952 graduate of Wadsworth High School.  On May 7, 1955 she married Homer L. Wilson and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2010.  Ann retired from Sterling Elementary School in 1992 where she had been the Cafeteria Manager  and had made her home in the Rittman area most of her life.  She was a member of the Chapel at Akron and enjoyed gardening, flower gardening and cooking, especially for Sunday dinners and holidays. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she always enjoyed attending their school and sporting events.

Surviving are her children, Alan Wilson of Rittman, Kimberly and her husband Kevin Gasser of Rittman and Kevin Wilson of Akron; grandchildren and their spouse, Kristin and E.J. Elchico and Justin and Alisha Gasser and her great-grandchildren, Kendall and Micah Elchico and Grady and Brooklyn Gasser.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and brothers, Cecil, Russel, Marvin and Roy Jr.
