Anna B. "Anne" (Mccracken) Stine

Anna B. “Anne” Stine, 85, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Anne was born on June 5, 1936 in Fairpoint, OH to the late Lester and Helen (Butler) McCracken and married Richard L. Stine on May 6, 1961.  He preceded her in death on July 27, 2000.  Anne graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1954, attended Cleveland Bible College and graduated in 1960 from the Ruth Brant School of Nursing in Martins Ferry.  She had worked as a Registered Nurse for 42 years having retired from Walnut Hills Nursing Home.  Anne was always active in church, having served as a Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, treasurer and missions promoter.   She was a member of the Mennonite Christian Assembly in Fredericksburg and had previously attended the Nazarene Church.

Surviving are her children, and their spouses, Carrie and Daniel Duncan of Mount Vernon, Kathleen and Grady Suggs of Fredericksburg, Dean and Kathy Stine of Rawson, OH and Penny and Timothy Duncan of Kimmell, IN; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Kathryn Suggs, Grady Suggs Jr., Parker (Julia) Suggs, Eric (Alexandria) Stine and daughter Lorelai, Holly (Paul) Bruno and children, Nathaniel and Gabriella, Ashley Stine, Benjamin (Jeana) Duncan, Nathanael (Hannah) Duncan and children Hazel and Delta, Anna Duncan, Christine Duncan, Micah Duncan, Mary Duncan and Elizabeth Duncan; brothers and sisters, John (Sandy) McCracken, Sally (the late Dan) Singell, Dale (Carol) McCracken and Ruth (Floyd) McCleary; sisters-in-law, Geraldine McCracken and Sandy McCracken and brother-in-law, Robert Brown and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents and sisters and brothers, Esther (Charles) Sellers, Ellsworth McCracken, Erma (Willard) Smailes, Audrey Baker, Lois Brown, Alice Wallace, James McCracken and Gary McCracken.

Services will be Saturday, April 23rd at 12:00 noon at Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church with Pastor John Risner officiating.  Burial will be in the Unity Cemetery in Fairpoint, Belmont County.  Friends may call on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 noon at the church.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Mission International or to the MCA Church Missions.
