Amanda Nicole (Moss) Scaggs

Amanda Nicole “Cole” Scaggs, 37, of Rittman, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.

Nicole was born on Nov. 16, 1986 in Wadsworth to Richard II and Melissa (Tackett) Moss and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.  On Dec. 6, 2008 she married David Ray Scaggs and he survives.  David and Nicole attended Grace Church in Wooster and they enjoyed traveling having traveled to many countries over the years.  She enjoyed cooking, canning, riding her motorcycle and Middle Eastern dancing.   She loved her nieces and nephews and those that she unofficially adopted and she will be greatly missed.

Surviving is her loving husband, David; her parents, Rick and Melissa Moss; sister, Amy Starcher; nieces and nephews, Makayla, Sean, Jenna, Devin, Colton, Mason, Connor, Olivia, Leo and Raya; her in-laws, Ray and Martha Scaggs and family and her much loved fur babies, Oreo and Sasha.

Friends may call on Saturday, Feb. 17th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Pastor Randy Mumaw will conduct services at 4:00 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wayne County Dog Shelter, 5694 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
