Alma L. (Martin Wilcox) Yeagley

Alma L. Martin Wilcox Yeagley, 88, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster.

Alma was born Jan. 21, 1932 in Clarkfield Twp., Ashland County to the late Vern L. and Edna (Merrill) Martin and was a 1950 graduate of Ashland High School.  She was first married to Tom Wilcox Sr., the father of her six children and later married Richard Yeagley.  Dick preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2009.  Alma retired from Rubbermaid, Inc. and had been an accomplished seamstress for years.  She had bowled on several area bowling leagues, enjoyed playing bingo, loved reading and coloring and was a devoted Cleveland Indians Fan.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Carleen and Simon Anderson of Wooster, Thomas and Mary Wilcox of Apple Creek, Randall Sr. and Barbara Wilcox of Wooster,  Jeannie Boyd of Wooster and Sharon and Jim Wagar of Wooster; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren with another one expected; a brother, Chuck and Rose Martin of Ashland and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter, Valarie Thornhill; a great-grandchild; brothers, Merrill, Vernon, Hugh and Lester and sisters, Verla Shearer, Lila Rice, Thelma Martin, Arline Wolf and an infant sister.

Private family services will be held on Friday, April 10th at  Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
