Alice Elizabeth Taylor

Alice E. Taylor, 89, of Creston, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Smithville-Western Care Center after a period of declining health.

Alice was born Dec. 24, 1928 in Medina to the late Lewis and Pearl (Warner) Walden and married Robert W. Taylor on Aug. 9, 1947. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2010. Alice had worked at H.W. Madison Pickle Factory and at Whitey’s Army Navy Store in Medina. She enjoyed listening to Charles Stanley and Joyce Meyer, reading the Daily Guildposts, bowling, crocheting and working jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (Sam) Shellhorn of Lodi, Kenneth (Peggy) Taylor of Creston, Terry Taylor of Lattasburg, Daniel Taylor of Wadsworth and Richard Taylor of Medina; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Robert Taylor and sisters and brothers, Effie, Florence, Opal, Mary, Jack, Lewis, Dorothy and John.

Services will be Monday, Aug. 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funearl-Home.com\
