Alexandria Logan “Alex” Cox, 32, of Lodi, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 15, 2026, surrounded by love.

Alex was born on September 7, 1993, in Wadsworth and was a 2011 graduate of Cloverleaf High School. She worked alongside her mother, Linda, and her late grandfather, Dick Coffee, at DJ’s in Sterling, a place that held many special memories for her. Alex was also a member of the Bell Music Dart League and was actively involved in several Metastatic Breast Cancer support groups, where she found strength, community, and purpose.Alex had a joyful spirit and a creative heart. 

She was a devoted Harry Potter fan, loved sharing moments through Snapchat and TikTok, and enjoyed making Cricut crafts with the children in her family. Above all else, Alex cherished her role as a mother and the time spent with those she loved.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved son, Isaac James Lee Peet; her mother, Linda (Coffee) Rinkes of Creston; her father, Gary Rinkes of Lodi; her father, Joseph Gilles and his wife, Barb; her sisters and their families: Sarah and Andrew Starinshak and their children, Lance and Ellie; Hannah and Brandon Creekmore and Hannah’s children, Gemma, the late Cameron, and Jude; Shelby and Justen Davies and their children, Scarlett and Myles; and her adopted sister, Amy Nemeth and her husband, Nick, and their children, Leah, Olivia, and Lukas; along with many extended family members and friends.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, January 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. In honor of Alex’s love for Harry Potter, the family invites attendees to wear Harry Potter attire. Burial will take place at Seville Mound Hill Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Murray Funeral Home. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Cleveland Clinic Hospice for helping Alex return home, where she could be surrounded by the love of her family during her final moments.
