Abe M. Miller

Abe M. Miller, 79, of 8850 Township Road 566, Holmesville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Abe was born near Mt. Hope on Aug. 19, 1941 to the late Monroe J.C.  and Ella (Yoder) Miller and married the former Susan Troyer on Jan. 25, 1962.  He was employed at Yoder Hydraulics and was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Surviving are her wife of 58 years, Susan; children and their spouse, Marion Miller of the home, Ruby and Wain Weaver of Holmesville,  Dora and John Kurtz of Holmesville, Linda  and Andrew Yoder of Apple Creek, Mae  and Dave Yoder of Holmesville, Mitchel and Miriam Miller of Millersburg and Kathy and John Weaver of Holmesville, 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers and wives, Aden and Lizzie Miller and Joe and Mary Miller all of Apple Creek; sisters and husbands, Mattie Troyer of Orrville, Susie and Atlee Yoder of Apple Creek, Bertha and Eli Raber of Fredericksburg and Linda and Reuben Troyer of Millersburg; sister-in-law, Betty Miller of Kidron and brother-in-law, Melvin Detweiler of Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant grandson, a brother, Paul Miller, a sister, Ada Detweiler and a brothers-in-law, Leroy Keim and Dan Troyer.

Services will be Monday, Oct. 26th at the former Reuben Troyer Residence, 7650 Township Road 565, Holmesville with Bishop Crist Wengerd officiating.  Burial will be in the Wengerd Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County.  Friends may call anytime at the Troyer Residence.  Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, please practice social distancing and refrain from handshaking.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
