Woodrow Lynn Harper, 72, of Burbank, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a lengthy illness.
Woody was born Nov. 13, 1947 in Charleston, WV to the late Woodrow Clinton and Alma Grace (Phillips) Harper and was a graduate of Walton High School. On Oct. 7, 1989 he married the former Debra Gorey and they have made their home near Burbank for the past 24 years. He retired from Koch in Uniontown where he was a Non-Destructive Testing Technician. Woody enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially college basketball. He is remembered for one that loved to work and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife Debra; his 3 children, Steven Harper of Polk, Gary (Terri) Harper of Hamilton and Georgina (Mark) Geiser of Burbank; 4 grandchildren with one grandchild on the way; a sister, Debra Sue Harper and a brother, Travis Harper both of North Carolina and his mother-in-law, Gertie Gorey and family.
Woody requested that there be no services held and memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
