Vivian Elaine “Lannie” Degler, 70, of Apple Creek, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, July 15, 2019 after a lengthy battle of failing health.
Lannie was born Oct. 12, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC to Clarence and Minnie (Sizemore) McVay and have lived in the Fredericksburg area. She had worked at Regal Ware in Wooster and enjoyed doing crafts and coloring pictures. She loved her little dog Skoshie and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her daughters, Subrena Daugherty of Wooster and Cassie (Dennis) Egnatz of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Kody (Amber) Stine, Erica Daugherty, Anthony Egnatz and Courtney Egnatz; great-grandchildren, Jesalyn, Braylon, Khayden, Maddox, Zoey, Zander, Gavin, Dante, Christian and Natali; her mother, Minnie McVay of Fresno; sisters, Gloria Weller, Linda Spitler and Nancy Shifflett all of Fresno; nieces and nephews and her special friends and caregivers, Jeff Mize and Belle Troyer.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Vera McVay and her companion, Deborah “Dee Dee” Bradley.
Services will be Thursday, July 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg where friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
