Scott Richard Ave., 56, of Valley City, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019.

Scott was born July 5, 1963 in Parma and was the son of James Richard and Dolores Jean (Veber) Ave. He was a graduate of Highland High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1982 – 1985. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Union Local 18. Always ready for an adventure, Scott was a pilot, having flown single engine planes, liked to ride motorcycles and dirt bikes and enjoyed camping. He loved his dogs and will be missed.

Surviving are his two sons, Bryan (Jackie) Ave and their daughter, Sophia and Brett (Angel) Ave; his mother, Dolores Ave; his girlfriend, Alex Sour; sisters, Renee (Kevin) Kosik, Sheri (Tony) Ramey and Christina (Richard) Trujillo, sister-in-law Tammy Ave; a niece, Amanda Kosik and a nephew, Logan Kosik. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Ave.

Private family services will be held with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
