Sandra Lynn Hartzler

Sandra L. Hartzler, 72, of Rittman, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.

Sandy was born Dec. 8, 1946 in Lodi to the late Linton and Margaret (Sykes) Numbers and married Benjamin Hartzler on April 20, 1968.  He survives.  She was a 1964 graduate of Norwayne High School and later graduated from the Massillon City School of Nursing.  Sandy worked for 45 years as a Registered Nurse at Akron Children’s Hospital and Wooster Community Hospital.  She was a member of the Rittman Grace Brethren Church and had been a member of the Pregnancy Care Center Board for 29 years where she had served as Secretary.  She had been involved in several Women’s Bible Studies and truly lived her faith.  Sandy had a heart for serving others and loved giving gifts to those she cared for.  She loved to travel having visited 15 countries and she enjoyed taking pictures of the many places she visited.  She will be missed.

Surviving are her husband, Ben; her children and their spouses, Jennifer and Joel Moine of Sterling, Aaron and Jennifer Hartzler of Lafayette, IN and Sarah and Joseph Ellis of Minerva; 9 grandchildren, Joellyn, Joanna, Jessica and Jennay Moine and Samuel, Seth, Levi, Nathanael and Lydia Hartzler; a sister, Beverly Haven of Leesburg, FL; a brother, Steve and Susan Numbers of Seattle, WA and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Zuber.

Services will be Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Rittman Grace Brethren Church, 44 S. First St., Rittman with Pastor Bud Olszewski officiating.  Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com   Memorial contributions may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center, 142 W.
