Ruth Yoders Obituary

Ruth A. Yoders, 90, of Wadsworth, died peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Altercare of Wadsworth.

Ruth was born Feb. 21, 1929 in Lodi to Henry B. Steele and Leta (Badger) Sell and was a graduate of Chatham High School. She had worked at the Ohio Injector before getting married to Paul R. Yoders on July 14, 1950. Paul preceded her in death on May 24, 1994. Ruth was a Medina county resident all her life and she enjoyed embroidering, playing the dulcimer and raising flowers, especially orchids.

Surviving are her children Robert (Phyllis) Yoders of Norton, Mark (Susanne) Yoders of Wooster, Wayne (Sharon) Yoders and Martha (Barry) Lambert both of Wadsworth; her 7 grandchildren, Robert Jr., Emily (Bryan), Katie (Jeff), Mark (Pearl), John, Michael and Chelsea. She was Grandma Strawberry to her 6 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Caroline, Zachary, Ellie, Kendallyn and Reagan and special friend, Hal Rednour. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Bill, Paul and Robert and sister, Helen.

Services will be held Monday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
