Robert Dale Schorle

Robert Dale “Bob” Schorle, 77, of Sterling, died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his home after a brief illness.

Bob was born Oct. 30, 1941 in Sterling to the late John and Mary (Calame) Schorle and served in the U.S. Air Force.  He married the former Linda Cunningham on Sept. 26, 1964 and she survives.  He retired from Seville Bronze in 2003 and had made his home in Sterling all of his life.  Bob was a dedicated member of the FarmersSportsmen Club, served on the Sterling Fire Dept. for 20 years and was a former member of the K of P Lodge in Sterling.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, weekly turkey shoots and playing Euchre with his friends.  Bob will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Stephanie (Jamie Sleva) Schorle and Bill (Mary Yoss) Schorle both of Creston; his faithful companion, Lacey; brothers and sisters, Jerry (Betty) Schorle of Seville, Joanne Cohen of Indiana, Bernard “Pete” (Carolyn) Schorle of Florida, Ruth Slater of Rittman and Kenneth (Sharon) Schorle of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Gay Winebarger of North Carolina and Rose Cunningham of Sterling and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gene and Tommy and a sister, Janet Maibach.

Services will be Monday, May 6th  at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.   Burial will be in Sterling Crown Hill Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling Fire Dept., 13845 Kauffman Ave., Sterling, OH 44276.
