Paul Obermiller Obituary

Paul J. Obermiller, 75, of Wooster, formerly of Creston, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Paul was born April 5, 1944 in Lodi to the late Clarence and Mary (Pallotta) Obermiller and was a 1962 graduate of Norwayne High School. He served in the Air National Guard and on August 28, 1965 he married the former Sandy Dravenstott who survives. Paul started working at a young age and spent over 60 years in the family oil and gas business known as Obermiller Drilling and Producing. He was a member of Grace Church in Wooster, was a longtime member of Ohio Oil and Gas Assoc. and served 8 years on the Norwayne Local Schools Board of Education. Paul always enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s many activities and will be remembered for his faithful service to his family, his community and to his Lord.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy; children and their spouses, Denny and Jeannie Obermiller of Winter Garden, FL, Stacey and Rich Kline of West Salem and Kelly and Scott Bodager of Wooster; 9 grandchildren; Michael Obermiller and his soon to be wife, Alexis McGhee; Alyssa Obermiller and her husband, Mike Davis, Eric Kline and his wife Beth, Drew Kline, Trevor Kline, Hannah Fry and her husband, Derek, Devin Bodager and his wife Olivia, Gabby Bodager and Mitchell Bodager; great-grandchildren, Kamden Fry and soon to arrive Luke Kline; sisters, Rosemary Csapo and Barb and her husband Tom Blough both of Creston; a brother-in-law, Jerry Hanzie of Tucson, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beverly and husband her Ron Hanzie htand Karen Hanzie and brother-in-law, Frank Csapo.

Private family services will be held with Pastor Billy Starkey officiating.
