Louise Griffith, 77, of Sterling, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Louise was born May 18, 1942 in Clay, WV to the late Charlie and Haley (Douglas) Holcomb and was a 1960 graduate of Clay High School. She married Ralph Griffith on June 25, 1960 and he survives. Louise was a wonderful homemaker whose passion was to care and love her children and grandchildren. She had made her home in Sterling since 1970 and was a member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph; children and their spouses, Allen and Sherri Griffith of Rittman, Glenn and Sherry Griffith of Rittman,, Sherry and Ron Geiser of Burbank and Paul Griffith of the home; 7 grandchildren, Brien (Tori) Griffith, Ben (Ali) Griffith, Bo (Sarah) Griffith, Justin (Amanda) Griffith, Jan (Mat) Bing, Stephanie Geiser and Bre Geiser; 11 great-grandchildren and brothers, James Holcomb and Orville (Carol) Holcomb both of Cincinnati.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Becky Griffith; brothers, George, Darius, Farrell and Elbert and a sister, Marie Chapman.
Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 12:00 noon at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston with Pastors Mike Gladson and Larry Keener officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00.
