Lisa Marie Peterman

Lisa Marie Peterman, 58, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 after a courageous battle with Polycystic Kidney, Liver Disease.

Lisa and her family were grateful that her life was extended in 2009 by receiving a kidney donation given by a close, special family friend.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1961 in Canton and married Brian S. Peterman on April 3, 1987.  Brian survives.  Lisa graduated from Glen Oak High School in 1979 and from the Canton City Schools, School of Nursing in 1981.  Lisa was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from 1981 to 2004.  In 2004 Lisa began working for the Wayne County Prosecutors Office in the Victim Witness Assistance Program as a Victim Advocate and retired in 2009. 

Lisa enjoyed raising dogs, particularly Beagles and Basset Hounds.  In 2000 she won the United Kennel Club Hunting Beagle Nationals Bench Show, best of class with her Beagle Abby.  She enjoyed sewing and knitting blankets for Project Linus.  Lisa enjoyed traveling and recently was able to enjoy a vacation in Hawaii and California with family and in the summer months, she loved spending time with her friends at Whispering Hills Jellystone Campground.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, Ryan Peterman and Angela O’Shea of Millersburg and Benjamin and Daisy Peterman of Smithville; her bonus grandchildren, Keith O’Shea and Olivia Shelly and special family friend, Trent Anderson.

Services will be Tuesday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Mark Davenport officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wooster Township Fire and Rescue Assoc., 1917 Millersburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to the Holmes County Dog Warden’s Department and Adoption Center, 5387 CR 349, Millersburg, OH 44654.
