Karen Sue Hughes, 65, of Rittman died Monday morning at her home following a year long battle with cancer.

Karen was born in Akron on July 3,1951 to the late Delmar and Madge(McKee) Dawkins Sr. She married m Robert Hughes on Aug 26,1967 and he survives. She had lived the past 3 years in Rittman having previously lived in the Creston and Seville area. She was a member of the Five Old ladies club. She enjoyed shopping trips with friends and going to the casino. She enjoyed her grand children and her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her Husband Bob, son; Robert Hughes Jr.and Dawn Dixon of Medina, daughter; Crissy(Steve) Troyer of Creston, grandchildren; Kevin(Ashley) Stowe, Katie((Jacob) Barnes, Kassidy (Josh) Parsittie, James Hughes and Felicia (Ben) Filous, great grandchildren; Kaydence Stowe, Kamden Stowe, and Kolson Stowe, Keagan Parsittie and Kennedi Parsittie, Miley Barnes and Cacheton Barnes. Sister ; Vicki(Jeff) Robinson of Creston. Many nieces and nephews including Terri Thorpe.
She was preceded in death by sister Nancy Harper and brothers; Calvin, Dawkins, Delmar Dawkins Jr. and Gary Dawkins
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10;30 at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev Deb Quillen officiating. Burial will be at Seville Mound Hill Cemetery.
