John Wancha, Jr., 68, of Creston, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Keystone Pointe Nursing Center in LaGrange after a brief illness.
John was born March 21, 1951 in Wadsworth to the late John Sr. and Marjorie (Kollert) Wancha and had worked at Rogers Manufacturing, 76 Truck Stops and for the City of Doylestown. He married Charlotte Dean Copley on Feb. 14, 2009 and she survives. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars and was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Creston.
Surviving are his wife Charlotte; step-sons, Randy (Deb) Copley, Tracy (Vanessa) Copley, Danny Copley, Glen Copley and David (Gretchen) Copley; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a brother, Carl (Mary) Barker.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Wancha, mother, Marjorie Shaffer and a step-daughter, Carla Copley.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 26that 4:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Ermal Allen officiating. Burial will be in at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth at a later date. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
