Joe Balder, 59, of Creston, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 23, 2019 after a brief illness.
Joe was born Aug. 10, 1959 in Lodi to the late Kenneth and Betty Jane (Stahl) Balder and had made his home in Creston all of his life. He married the love of his life, Brandy Beyl on July 27, 2003 and she survives. Joe had worked at Luke Engineering and Manufacturing in Rittman before becoming a certified care provider for his daughter, Chelsey. He was a member of the Creston Moose Lodge 1224 and enjoyed playing horseshoes, mushroom hunting as well as turkey and deer hunting. Joe’s greatest joy was hosting gatherings and cookouts with family and friends at his home.
Surviving are his wife, Brandy, his beloved little girl, Chelsey; his sister and brother-in-law, Candy and Rocky Shaum; niece, Carrie and her husband Jamie Remington; nephew, Matt and his wife Shannon Shaum; 4 great-nieces and nephews; 3 great-great-nephews and niece; his father-in-law, Fred Beyl, his mother-in-law, Brenda Beyl; sisters-in-law, Sasha Wright and Beth Liston and a host of family and friends that he loved.
Services will be Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
