James Glasgo Obituary

James Sheridan Glasgo, 82, of Spencer, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born March 19, 1937 on the Glasgo Farm in Perrysville, OH to Ivan and Hazel (Kershner) Glasgo and graduated from Perrysville High School in 1956.  On July 8, 1960 he married Nancy Landis and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2014.  Jim retired from Spencer Manufacturing and served on the Spencer Volunteer Fire Dept. for nearly 30 years.  He was a member of the Sullivan Masonic Lodge 313 F&AM.

Surviving are his children, Cindi Graves, Lisa (Everett) Hartong, John (Dianna) Glasgo and Scott Glasgo; grandchildren, Matthew, Nate, Renee, Ben and Heather; great-grandchildren, Abbie, Ryan, Owen, Wyatt, Wesley and June; sisters, Miriam Robinson, Joyce (Vilas) Dean and Carol (Robert) Thomas; sister-in-law, Kathy Lashley and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his step-father, Albert Frontz, a son-in-law, Kenneth Graves; sister, Wanda and husband, Harold Watson, brother, Laurel Glasgo and brother-in-law, Lee Robinson.

Family services were held at Spencer Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Spencer Fire and Rescue, 105 E. Lorain St., Spencer, OH 44275 or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
