Glenda Kay Masters

Glenda Kay Masters, 76, of Sterling, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.

Kay was born July 10, 1943 in Wooster to the late Glenn and Erma (Grable) Hodgen and married Howard R. Masters on April 18, 1959.  She had been a school bus driver for Smithville Schools and retired from the College of Wooster.  Kay was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church in Norton and was a faithful servant of Jesus.  Over the years she enjoyed bowling at Wayne Lanes, playing cards and playing Solitaire on the computer.  She loved gardening, canning and cooking and was a wonderful baker.  Her greatest enjoyment was her grandkids and she never missed their sporting and school activities.  Kay will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Howard of 60 years; her four children and their spouses, John and Kimberly Masters of North Lawrence, Bill and Tammy Masters of Akron, Cindie and Tracy Moore of Toledo and Jim and Sandy Masters of Smithville; her grandchildren and their spouses, Carly and Rich Scott, Cristy Masters, Molly and Dan Arnold, Jake and Heather Masters, Nell and AJ Perez, Josh and Hannah Masters, Tyler Masters, Madison and Matt Dellinger, Brandie and Brian Mull and Benjamin and Seka Masters; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Eldon “ Junior” Cherry of Burbank and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, JoAnn Jolliff and Betty Cherry, brother-in-law, Zeke Jolliff and a niece, Peggy Jo Lintern.

Services will be Saturday, Jan. 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Cecil Farmer officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
