Flora Thelma Kollert

Flora Thelma Kollert, 94, of Rittman, went Home to be the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2019 at her home after a period of declining health.

Thelma was born April 23, 1925 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Clyde and Olive (Artrip) Robinett and married Homer Kollert on Nov. 8, 1947.  He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2005.  She was a graduate of Wayne High School and attended Marshall College and had taught first and second grades at Rittman Elementary.  She was a member of the former First Baptist Church in Rittman and attended Reimer Road Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Phillip (Lillie) Kollert of Rittman, Mark (Karen) Kollert of Wooster and Laura (William) Shipe of Rittman; foster-sons, James Artrip of Orrville and John Artrip of Rittman; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a brother James Homer Robinett of Rittman  and a sister, Dorcas Misere of Rittman

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Timothy in 2006 and a brother, Lawrence Robinett.

Services will be Tuesday, May 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor James Newton officiating.  Burial will be in Westfield Center Cemetery.  Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m.  at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.  The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of Crossroad Hospice and to Norma Steiner, Shannon Indermuhle, Candace Ault and Kate Turner for the wonderful care given to their Mother and Grandmother.
