Daniel S. Yoder, 76, of 7376 S. Honeytown Rd., Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at his home.
He was born Aug. 13, 1942 in Geauga County, OH to the late Simon and Fannie (Hostetler) Yoder and married Cevilla Zook on Jan. 22, 1970. She preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 2016. He had been a tarp marker operating his own business and was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving are his children, Anna (Henry) Petersheim of Windsor, KY, Lydia (Uriah) Petersheim of Liberty, KY, Enos (Lydia) Yoder of the home, Susan (Reuben) Troyer of Liberty, KY and Lizzie Yoder of the home; son-in-law, Noah (Annie) Petersheim of Freeport, OH; 28 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, John (Anna) Yoder of Bertha, MN, Melvin Yoder of Wakeman, Sam (Amelia) Yoder of Danville, Andy (Barbara) Yoder of Wakeman, Simon Jr. (Bridget) Yoder of Wellington, Noah (Brenda) Yoder of Wakeman, Mary Yoder of Staples, MN and Lydia (Doyle) Lee of Chesterhill; brothers-in-law, David Gingerich of Ethridge, TN and Eli Slabaugh of Orleans, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, children, Fannie Petersheim, Mary Troyer and Samuel Yoder; grandchildren, Sammie N. Petersheim and Cevilla U. Petersheim; brothers, David and Joe Yoder and sisters, Katie Gingerich and Susan Slabaugh.
Services will be Tuesday, Aug. 6th at 9:00 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Jonas Swartzentruber officiating. Burial will be in Swartzentruber Cemetery, Fredericksburg. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
